I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. My latest novella, Red Rain, published this past week. It takes place well before the start of Lavender’s Blue and features Vince Cooper as a Ranger squad leader in Afghanistan and introduces Raina Still (Rain) as a medic who arrives at his FOB (Forward Operating Base) carrying a guitar. But all is not as it seems. It’s not quite a romance, not quite a war novel; more about the intense bonds between people in combat.

Another new release is free until the 5th, You’re Doing It Wrong: Dump The Myths, Misconceptions and Bad Advice You Believe. I guarantee you’ll find a number of things you believe aren’t quite right. One of the reviewers took offense at the title and posted that—but in the opening I point out I had at least half of these wrong myself. I still have a hard time believing a couple. I debunk some viral posts on social media that give what seems good advice but could actually get you killed. I’d appreciate it that if you do download it, either free or kindle unlimited, please leave a review, even just a rating, as they are important.

The same is true of my other new releases, Howl: WT Sherman’s Monster Hunters which is at 4.9, just shy of a perfect 5.00 reader review rating because, apparently, some pages fell out of a print copy. And Slow Fall, the first in my newest series, to be followed by Deep Winter and then New Year.

As usual, there are other free and discounted books constantly rotating on my freebies page. Very Nice Funerals is on sale at $2.99 all month.

Later this month, another novella, Shane and Phoebe Versus the Assassins, ties up the loose end at the conclusion of Phoebe and the Traitor.

This has been a hectic year. My wife had back surgery four months ago, then a revision this past week so my attention has been not focused, to say the least. I think everyone is a little off kilter given world events. In what spare time I have, I tend to bury myself in books for escape; just like I did growing up in the Bronx. I hope I’m giving my readers the same opportunity.
